In 1955 Moses Idlout and his family moved from Pond Inlet to Resolute Bay.

When one grows up in a place, that land becomes a part of that person. The land is a part of that person. When these people left their very own blood relatives and the land they’re connected to, to never return, that had a big impact.

All that I see, all that I feel is that the Government wanted sovereignty so badly they didn’t stop to consider Inuit as humans. I have even seen the documents about the government wanting to relocate and experiment with the Inuit. So, here I am today having been affected and been part of an experiment.
