Elizabeth was born in Inukjuak and relocated to Resolute Bay with her family in 1955.

My name is Elizabeth Allakariallak Roberts. […] I’m one of the descendents of Johnny and Minnie Allakariallak who were called Echalook before and I’m from Resolute. Born and raised. Just recently my younger one asked me when was it that grandparents were relocated? I said: «oh yes he’s gonna try to discover too. So that was good. » They never asked me about this, but my younger one started asking me, which is good. My mom wouldn’t tell me these things because if she would have and us being tough kids up there. I would become pretty violent I guess, if I would have known then.”
